SET is an entrance exam which is conducted by Symbiosis International (Deemed University) for admission into various undergraduate courses like BBA, BCA, BA Mass Communication, BA/BSc Liberal Arts, Economics Hons and BSc Culinary Arts. SET or Symbiosis Entrance Test is a gateway for admission to Symbiosis institutes.  SET 2020 exam will be conducted in approximately 40 cities across India. SET 2020 ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

• Candidate must have scored minimum 50% marks or equivalent (45% for SC/ST category) in class 12th from a recognised board or university

• Candidates waiting for their 12th class results are also eligible to apply

• Candidate who are done with 12th standard or equivalent examination from a Foreign Board must obtain an equivalence certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU)

The question paper is divided into four sections and the weightage is as under:

SET 2020 APPLICATION PROCESS

To apply for SET 2020, follow the steps given below:

• Open SET website in a new browser

• Click on 'Register Here'

• Click on ‘New User’ and follow the instruction given

• Fill in the details requested 

• Click on Save and Continue to choose a password and hint questions

• Click on Submit. Your SET 2020 ID will be displayed on screen. A password will be sent to you in email id too

• Click on 'Save and Continue' to submit it

Application Fee Payment

You can pay the SET 2020 application fee online through credit/debit cards or through Demand Draft.

Demand Draft:

• To make payment through Demand Draft, follow the given steps:

• Make a demand draft from any Nationalized Bank in favour of "Symbiosis Test Secretariat" payable at Pune.

• Choose the method of Payment as 'DD Payment' in "Make Payment" Tab.

• Print the payment advice form, fill in the DD Details, sign and send it along with the DD to the Symbiosis Test Secretariat only at,

If you plan to appear for only one session of the SET exam, you will have to submit a Demand Draft (DD) of Rs. 1750/- and if you plan to appear for both sessions you will have to submit a DD of Rs. 3500/- . The Symbiosis Test Secretariat will authenticate the details of Demand Draft and will send you an email confirming the payment. you will be able to access your SET 2020 admit card only if you have received application fee payment confirmation. 

Documents Required for Filling up SET 2020 Application Form

The candidates should keep the following documents ready before filling up the form:

• Recent passport size photograph

• Class X and XII marksheets

• Graduation marksheet

• Date of birth certificate

• Photo ID proof

• Caste certificate (if applicable)

After the SET 2020 result is declared, the aspirants will be required to book their seats for PI-WAT by paying Rs 1000 as PI-WAT fee.

Final merit list be announced post the PI-WAT process is over. Final admission will be offered on the basis of the candidate’s combined score in SET 2020 and PI-WAT.

Selected candidates will send the offer letter for admission through email. However, the candidates are advised to keep checking the official website regularly. 

SET 2020 COUNSELLING PROCESS

SET counselling 2020 is conducted by the participating institutes of Symbiosis International University (Deemed) after the results are announced. SET 2020 results will be announced after the SET 2020 exam which is likely to be conducted in the month of May 2020, and only candidates who will meet the cut off marks for SET exam will be called for final selection rounds. The counselling rounds of SET exam 2020 will be held at 2 centres only i.e. Pune and Noida. Candidates can select their centre while filling admission registration form of Symbiosis Institutes after announcement of results and cut off marks.

SET 2020 counselling rounds includes Personal Interview (PI) and Written Ability Test (WAT) as under:

1. SET exam Personal Interaction/Interview (PI) – Candidates will appear for an interview with an expert panel from Industries or Academics. The PI round cover:

• General Awareness,

• Extracurricular Activities,

• Academics and Candidates Specific Field of Interest

• Communication skills and over all personality

2. SET exam Written Ability Test – Candidates will be required to take a PAT (Picture Association Test) and write a short essay on any general topic allotted by the panel of judges. Moreover, there could be subjective-type Questions and Answers round on the given topic.

For Symbiosis Centre for Media and Communication [SCMC], Pune, the SET counselling process 2020 will also include Studio Test besides PI, WAT and Document Verification.
