The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2021 is a National Level Entrance Test for admission in various Undergraduate (UG) and Postgraduate (PG) Law courses offered by 22 National Law Universities (NLU) along with other colleges across India.

The CLAT exam after 2019 is being conducted by Consortium of NLU’s which is a permanent body formed by the universities. The headquarters of The Consortium of NLU’s is at NLSIU Bangalore. The body comprise of-

1. An Executive Committee

2. The CLAT Convenor of Last Year

3. The CLAT Convenor of the Following Year

4. Two co-opted Vice-Chancellor of NLU

The Consortium of NLU’s has released the timeline for conducting CLAT 2021. The CLAT 2021 important dates have been mentioned below for candidates so that no important event is missed for the exam.

CLAT 2021 ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Law aspirants can attempt CLAT 2021 exam after clearing the eligibility criteria. All candidates must check whether they are eligible for the course or not before applying. The CLAT 2021 Eligibility Criteria has been mentioned below for candidates.

AGE LIMIT

There is no age limit for UG programmes in CLAT 2021. Candidates from any age group can attempt the CLAT 2021 exam.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

a) Aspirants from General/ OBC/ PWD/ NRI/PIO/OCI category must have secured at least 45% in their 10+2 or equivalent examination.

b) Candidates belonging to SC/ST categories must have scored at least 40% in their 10+2 or equivalent examination.

c) Candidates who are appearing for their 10+2 exams in 2021, can also apply for CLAT 2021. Such candidates will be required to produce proof of passing the qualifying examination at the time of admission, failing to do so will lead to loss of right to admission.

 

HOW TO APPLY FOR CLAT 2021?

The CLAT 2021 Application forms have been released. Candidates can start filling the application forms before the CLAT 2021 registrations close. Here is a detailed procedure of how to apply for CLAT 2021.

1. Visit the official website of Consortium of NLU’s.

2. Click on “Apply Now” for start filling the CLAT 2021 Application Forms.

3. Now start filling the application form with your personal details, educational background and family details.

4. Now upload the required documents to complete the CLAT 2021 Application Forms. All documents have to uploaded in PDF form.

 

DOCUMENTS TO BE UPLOADED IN CLAT 2021 APPLICATION FORM

1. Front facing passport size photograph with plain background.

2. Signature of candidate.

3. Category certificate of candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC category.

4. Relevant certificate for candidates belonging to PWD category.

5. Lastly pay the CLAT 2021 application form.

 

CLAT 2021 APPLICATION FEE

1. The application fee has to be paid online.

2. Application fee for General/OBC/PWD/NRI/PIO/OCI candidates: Rs.4,000/-

3. Application fee for SC/ST/BPL category candidates: Rs.3,500/-

4. The cost of previous years' question papers is Rs.500/- (not included in the CLAT 2021 application fee of Rs.4,000/- or Rs.3,500/- as the case may be.)

5. The candidates themselves will have to bear the bank transaction charges for remitting the fee online. The actual bank transaction charges will be displayed in the payment gateway page after candidates choose the mode of payment.

6. Application Fees is non-refundable.

 

CLAT 2021 ADMIT CARD

The CLAT 2021 Admit Card will be released in the month of April. Candidates can download CLAT 2021 Admit Card by logging in to their CLAT 2021 portal.

How to download CLAT 2021 Admit Card?

1. Visit the official website of Consortium of NLU’s.

2. Login to your portal with your credentials.

3. Now click on download CLAT 2021 Admit Card.

4. Download the CLAT 2021 Admit Card. Keep a hardcopy of the same till the admission process is complete.

 

CLAT 2021 EXAM CENTRES

The CLAT 2021 exam will be held in offline mode. The given cities will conduct the offline CLAT 2021 exam. Candidates can choose the preferred cities in which they want to take the exam in. the exam centres will be allocated as per the preference of the candidate mentioned in the CLAT 2021 Admit Card.
