JEE MAIN 2021 APPLICATIONS OUT, EXAM DETAILS, REVISED EXAM PATTERN. ELIGIBILITY,

The Joint Entrance Test (JEE MAIN) is conducted by the National Testing Agency. The JEE Main paper comprises of two papers. The first exam is conducted for admission in undergraduate Engineering Programs (B.E/B.Tech) in various centrally funded or recognized institutions, IIT’s, NIT’s and state funded or recognized universities or institutions. The second exam is conducted for admission in B.Arch and B.Planning courses in India.

The JEE Main 2021 will be held in four sessions (February, March, April and May 2021) and the paper 2A & 2B(B.Arch & B.Planning) will be held twice a year (February and May 2021)

What is new about JEE Main 2021?

JEE Main 2021 will be conducted in multiple sessions for admission in the next academic session. This new rule will benefit the candidates in a lot of ways.

JEE Aspirants will get multiple opportunities to improve their scores if they are not satisfied with their first attempt.

Chances of JEE Aspirants to take a drop year will reduce since they can know their mistakes while attempting the exam in multiple sessions.

Board examinations’ schedule will no more hinder the chance of attempting JEE Main 2021.

The merit list at the end of four sessions will be prepared according to the best score of 2021 received by the candidate. Aspirants need not attempt in all four sessions.

JEE MAIN 2021 IMPORTANT DATES

The JEE Mains 2021 will be conducted in four months i.e. February, March, April and May. Candidates must keep in mind that they can apply for one session or more together or they can apply for one session at a time and later they will be given a chance to apply for the next sessions.

The application window will open briefly after the results of February/March/May sessions are released to give an opportunity to candidates to apply further for JEE Mains 2021.

The JEE MAIN 2021 exam will be held in two shifts each on the exam dates given below.

The timings for the first shift will be 9:00 am to 12:00 pm and the timings for second shift will be 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm.

JEE MAIN 2021 ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

  • There is no age limit for appearing in JEE Main 2021. Candidates must have passed class 12th or equivalent examination.
  • Candidates who have passed class 12 in 2019 or 2020 or appearing in 2021 are eligible to apply for JEE Main 2021
  • Candidates who passed class 12 before 2019 are not eligible to appear in JEE Main 2021
  • Candidates must have Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects in class 12 along with anyone subject from Chemistry/ Biotechnology/Biology/Technical Vocational subject
  • There is no requirement for a minimum percentage of marks in class 12 for appearing in JEE Main. However, for admission in IITs and NITs, candidates need to have a minimum of 75 percentage of marks in class 12.
  • There is no age limit for appearing in JEE Main.

 

JEE MAIN 2021 APPLICATION FORM DETAILS

The following points must be kept in mind while applying for JEE Main 2021 exam.

  • NTA will not accept multiple application forms submitted by candidates
  • The JEE Main 2021 session will be held in four months and the candidates can apply in one or multiple sessions.
  • If a candidate wants to apply for more than one session they can do so either by applying for different sessions in one application form or individually for each session as and when the forms are released.
  • Candidates who wish to apply individually will get the opportunity to apply for the next JEE Main 2021 sessions March/ April/May. The application window will open shortly after the results of the February/ March/ May session are released.

 

HOW TO APPLY FOR JEE MAIN 2021

The following steps must be followed to fill the application form correctly.

  1. Candidates have to visit the official website of NTA www.jeemain.nta.nic.in.
  2. Inorder to start the form filling process for JEE Main 2021, candidates have to register with their Email Id and Phone numbers.
  3. Candidate scan start filling the JEE Main 2021 application form with the required credentials like personal information, family details, educational background.
  4. Next, the applicants must note down the system generated Application Number.
  5. Now candidates have to upload the required documents to complete the application process. All documents must uploaded as scanned images in jpg/jpeg format.

Documents required for JEE 2021 Application form

  • Recent photograph (file size 10kb-200kb). Can be black or white against a white background.
  • Candidate’s signature (file size 4kn-30kb)
  • Verified result awaited attestation (file size 50kb to 500kb)
  • Category certificate (SC/ST/OBC/EWS etc) file size- 50kb to 300kb)
  • PwD certificate (File size 50kb to 300kb)
  1. The last step includes the payment of application fee. The JEE Main 2021 application fee can be paid through SBI/Canara Bank/HDFC Bank/ICICI Bank/Paytm gateway through Debit Card/Credit Card/Net Banking/ UPI.

JEE MAIN 2021 MODE OF EXAMINATION

The JEE Main 2021 will be held in the following modes-

B.Tech/B.E will be a Computer Based Test.

B.Arch- Mathematics (Part 1) and Aptitude Test (Part 2) will be a Computer Based Test and the Drawing Test (Part 3) will be a pen and paper exam to be held in offline mode on a drawing A4 size sheet.

B.Planning: Mathematics (Part1), Aptitude Test (Part 2) and Planning Based Questions will be a Computer Based Test.

 

JEE MAIN MEDIUM OF QUESTION PAPER

The JEE Main 2021 exam will be held in 13 languages those are Assamese, Bengali, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu for the first time in history.

 

JEE MAIN 2021 HOW TO DOWNLOAD ADMIT CARD?

Candidates can download the JEE Main 2021 admit card from the official website of NTA i.e. www.jeemain.nta.nic.in.

All candidates must appear at the given date and venue for the JEE Main 2021.

Candidates must keep a hardcopy of the admit card with them and must carry it on the day of exam.

The JEE Main 2021 result for all the sessions i.e. February/March/April/May will be announced ion the official website of the National Testing Agency www.jeemain.nta.nic.in.

 

JEE MAIN 2021 COUNSELLING

Candidates are allotted seats or offered admission on the basis of tehri choices filled in the JEE Main 2021 Application form and their All India Ranks of JEE Main 2021.

Candidates must present the required documents identification, date of birth, qualifying examination, State of eligibility, category and disability (if any) at the time of seat allotment process.

 

JEE MAIN 2021 FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

 

Question- Do I have to pay application fee for multiple sessions at once only?

Answer- No, it is not compulsory to pay for multiple sessions at once. Candidates can apply for different sessions at after the result of previous session has been released.

 

Question- How many times can I attempt the JEE Advance exam after qualifying the JEE Main?

Answer- Candidates can only attempt the JEE Advance exam two times irrespective of the fact that they have cleared the JEE Main.

 

Question- What do I do in case I have queries or grievances?

Answer- The National testing Agency has established the Query Redressal System (QRS) which is a web technology that aims to enable submission of queries and grievances by registered JEE Main 2021 examination.
